Once upon a time, a young and imaginative girl looked up at the night sky admiring the magnificence of her view. On this particular night, she imagined herself as a shining ball of light. Emotions, thoughts, and ideas streamed through her dreamy mind.
She thought to herself, “if I were to be a star, would I want to be big or small?” Thinking long and deep, she made up her mind.
Picturing herself as a big star first, she realized she would only end up bleak and blue. She knew in her heart that big stars were bright and great, but she worried that her brilliance would shine too bright. She wanted to be colossal, but she never wanted to be the center of attention. Always being watched brought upon too much pressure.
She then tried to picture herself as a small star. At first, the thought did not settle well. Wanting to be great, she shied away from being small, but then a light sparked. She realized she did not need to be the biggest ball of light. She simply needed to shine.
Even though small, she was still radiant, and shining bright. Without the pressures of watchful eyes, she could be just as great. Small was only a size, they shimmered just as brilliant as the larger lights.
Shine. Shine. Shine.
